Resumes - Get Detailed

How detailed do you get on your resume?  Do you give them details or do you just give them standard job descriptions?

Does this look familiar?

"Responsibilities included overseeing construction of 4 Hilton Hotels in Tri-City Metro Area, each 50 floors in height."

If that is the kind of thing that you put on your resume you likely are not getting the jobs you want because the person looking at your resume really can't tell much about you.  Were you promoted to this position?  Did you complete the project early?  Did you complete the project under budget?  How many people did you oversee on the project?  How involved were you? These are some of the questions that you can address in your descriptions.

Don't just give the person who is looking at your resume a generic view of your job - be detailed.  The more details you give them the more they will be able to see just how well you are suited to the job.
