If you are interested in becoming a Medical Lab Assistant, join us at our next free Medical Laboratory Industry Talk where we will be discussing the Public Health Agency of Canada and the work that is done by the National Microbiology Laboratory (NML). As Canada's leading public health infectious disease laboratory, the NML is responsible for the identification, control, and prevention of infectious diseases.
About our SpeakersLillian Mendoza completed her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba in 2003. She is currently employed as a technicial with the Viral Exanthemata & STDs section at the National Microbiology Laboratory, where she specializes in molecular biology and serology techniques for the detection and surveillance of vaccine-related diseases, including measles, mumps, rubella and varicella viruses.
We will also welcome Joy Stadnichuck, Community Liaison Program Officer at the NML who will be providing an overview of the NML.
