Administrative professionals are expected to be technologically savvy and able to work with a variety of software to help the business streamline its processes.
2017's most in-demand administrative careers are multi-tasking roles that balance a variety of office tasks.
In particular, we are seeing a trend of admin staff taking over many basic accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration and bookkeeping.
Even though the demand is high for administrative roles, the competition is also fierce.
Across Canada, it takes recruiters an average of just 41 days to fill office jobs so it is important to be able to differentiate yourself with in-demand skills!
