'Tis the Season for Giving! Helping Humanity in Edmonton

 Around this time of year, it can be easy to get wrapped up in the holiday frenzy. Between the holiday parties and making sure everyone on your list has the gift they want, it can be easy to forget that there are members of our community that are as fortunate this holiday season.

We are proud to announce that this year, the Robertson College Edmonton campus has chosen to support Helping Humanity, a local non-profit organization that is committed to making a difference here in Edmonton.  We will be collecting donations of new and used items to put into our care packages for homeless Edmontonians and Syrian refugees arriving into our city!

Each care kit will include:
  • Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Comb
  • Toothbrush & Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Chapstick
  • Gloves 
  • Socks
  • Bandaids
  • Tissue Napkins
  • Bottle of Water
  • Snacks (Packaged foods like granola bars, crackers, etc. No foods with nuts please!)
  • Gift cards ($5 or $10)
  • and lastly a Kindness Note! Write a short kind / encouraging message or a favourite motivational quote for the recipient.
We will also be collecting the following items in bulk to give away to individuals that are in need :
  • Items for Children (ie.Stuffed animals, colouring books, crayons or toys)
  • Diapers
  • Islamic Prayer Rugs
  • Islamic Head Scarves (Hijab)
  • Clothing
  • Winter Items (such as Scarves, Boots, Jackets)
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Backpacks / Large Bags
